Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a long established and well regulated physical therapy that uses manual techniques to rebalance and provide support for the body in order to harness its remarkable capacity for self-repair.

It is a highly effective treatment for:
Neck and joint pain
Low back pain
Pregnancy ailments
Children and babies
Sports injuries
Headaches
Bowel and bladder discomforts

Working primarily on muscles, ligaments and joints, osteopaths also consider how the body’s internal organs affect and are affected by the neuro-musculo-skeletal system. Osteopathy focuses on the causes of physical problems, as well as the symptoms, and understands the importance of working in harmony with the body’s own self-healing mechanisms.

Treatment is tailored to each person and begins with the taking of a full medical history, careful observation and assessment. A variety of techniques are used, including soft tissue stretching, articulation and manipulation, as well as cranial and visceral techniques.
